Real Estate Drone Photography & Video

Quick answer

Sham RE Media provides real estate drone photos and video flown by an FAA Part 107 certified pilot. We're based in Medford, MA and serve Greater Boston, the North Shore, the Merrimack Valley and Southern NH. Every flight starts with an airspace check, and we request authorization where needed near Logan, Hanscom and other controlled airspace.

Some things a ground-level camera can't show: how big the lot really is, how close the home sits to the water or the town center, or how the backyard opens up to the trees. Sham RE Media's drone photos and video give buyers that bird's-eye view, and they make a listing stand out in a crowded search feed. Every flight is flown by our FAA Part 107 certified pilot.

Our drone pilot is FAA Part 107 certified, and every flight is planned around FAA airspace rules, local restrictions and the weather.

What aerial shots are best for

  • Lot size and layout. Show property lines, driveways, outbuildings, gardens and pools in one frame.
  • Location. Put the home in context: nearby water, parks, schools, a downtown or a commuter route.
  • Large and unique properties. Estates, farms, waterfront homes, multi-family buildings and land listings.
  • Roof and exterior. A clean overhead view of a new roof, a deck or a recent addition.

Drone photos and drone video

Drone photos are high-resolution still images taken from several heights and angles, edited to match the rest of your listing photos. Drone video adds smooth flyover clips you can post on social media or have us fold into a listing video.

Pricing and quotes

Pricing depends on the size of the home and the services you choose. Request a quote or call (617) 858-7268 and we'll send a price for your listing.

Weather and airspace

Drones need reasonable weather. Rain, strong wind or heavy snow can ground a flight, and some locations near airports or restricted areas need advance authorization or can't be flown at all. If the drone portion can't happen safely on shoot day, we'll let you know right away and work with you to reschedule it, so your interior and ground-level photos aren't held up.

Pairs well with

Drone photos work best alongside our real estate photography, and the combination of aerials, a floor plan and a 3D tour gives buyers the full picture before they ever book a showing. We fly across Greater Boston, the North Shore, the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.

"They were punctual, flexible and communication was smooth... The drone shots provided breathtaking aerial views."

Frequently asked questions

How much do real estate drone photos cost?

The Silver and Platinum packages include drone photos. For anything else, request a quote.

Can you fly a drone at every property?

Most residential properties can be flown, but locations near airports or in restricted airspace may need advance authorization or may not be flyable. We check before the shoot and tell you if there's an issue.

What happens to the drone shots if the weather is bad?

If rain, wind or snow makes flying unsafe, we'll work with you to reschedule the drone portion. Interior and ground-level photos can usually go ahead as planned.
